Hi rajsidhu,
I think the problem is to compile 64-bit. Videosnarf use static and pre-compiled audio codec libraries (libG7231, libG726, ...). This libraries were compiled for 32bit.
I asked to developers of Videosnarf. When I have some information from Videosnarf team I write in this post.

Ciao.

Hi rajsidhu,
the VideoSnarf can not be compiled for 64bit because the G723, G726 and G729 codec are available only for 32 bit, even in the next release of VideoSnarf (some time this week).
We have devised a solution (work around): from a 32bit distribution compile the VideoSnarf, after this from src dir of VideoSnarf run this command:
Quote:
g++ --static -g -O2 -o videosnarf main.o stream.o videosnarf.o h264rtp.o g722_decode.o g726_decoder.o g729_decoder.o g723_decoder.o ../codec-lib/libG729a.a ../codec-lib/libG7231.a ../codec-lib/libG726.a -lpcap

The important parts of the command are:
  • --static
  • -lpcap: in last position
Then now you can copy this static application in the 64bit system. I tested it in Ubuntu 10.04 (32bit desktop -> 64bit server).

Ciao.

Hello lexlth,
Theoretically Videosnarf is required to be compiled with Xplico, but could you try and give us your feedback?
Thanks.

Hi lexlth,
the new version of Videosnarf uses natively the patch of Xplico, then the Xplico-patch is not necessary with videosnarf 0.63.
Videosnarf 0.63 can be compiled for 32 and 64 bit systems but for the 64bit without G723, G726 and G729 codec because this libraries are available only for 32 bit.

We thank the VIPER Lab team for your wonderful tool.

Ciao.
