Post Upload Pcap Bug?
Hey, I'm a new user of Xplico.
I'm facing some problems, so I'll describe them for you. When I try to upload a pcap on my internet Interface installed on my VM, the message "start decoding" appears and after some time nothing is showed in the results, the field keeps EMPTY and I have no information at all...So I've tested the same pcap on the internet demo and it seems to work fine, but I'm no glad with the information, I don't know if the packets are too short to be analyzed, but when I take a look at them in wireshark there's a lot of information.
Well, the pcap I've got is from mobile devices, related to my work in the University. I'm attaching them with this message. Could you upload them for me so I can take a look and see if my results are the same as yours?

I appreciate your help
Thank you.

Hi yak27,
your pcap are ok. Xplico can not decode all your data because many data are crypted (ssl/tls).

Your installation of Xplico on VM must have installed Python3.2. If you have not installed Python3.2 then the Xplico Interface does not start the decode.

Ciao.

Hi there,

Sry for the revival of this old topic.

I do have the same issue. Example files also have 0 results.
The system returns: File uploaded, wait start decoding...

It takes a couple of moments, it's doing 'somthing' I guess.
And then the result is a lot of zero's.

I've got Python 2.7, 3 and 3.2 installed.

Cheers, Thijs

I meet the same problem when I using xplico-1.1.0,I have installed python 3.2 and python 3.3. when I tried to run session_mng.pyc,I type"python3.3 session_mng.pyc",it runs correctly, but if I type "./session_mng.pyc",it resulted in many "command not found" errors.I have spent much time on solving it,but did not workl.
Any idea is appreciated.Thanks.
