Post Getting "ip.c" error when installing Xplico on Debian ARMel
Hy,

I trying to install Xplico on ARM architecture, in case on Raspberrry Pi with Debian ARMel. I install all prerequisites from the Xplico wiki (http://wiki.xplico.org/doku.php?id=tutorial:0.7.0) and no errors appears.

Now the problem is when I do the "make" from the xplico 0.7 source code. I get this errors (I don' t need ghostpdf, geomap or videosnart for the moment):
ip.c:156:2: warning: #warning we have to be implement the fragment ip
ip.c: In function 'ip_fast_csum':
ip.c:68: error: invalid 'asm': invalid operand for code 'w'
ip.c:68: error: invalid 'asm': invalid operand for code 'w'
make[2]: *** [ip.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/xbuild/xplico-0.7.1/dissectors/ip'
make[1]: *** [subdir] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/xbuild/xplico-0.7.1/dissectors'
make: *** [subdir] Error 1

I take some time to found something about the "ip.c" but I did'nt found anything. I tried to compil Xplico with ghostpdf, geomap or videosnart but the problem was the sam. So do you know why I'm getting this error ?

Thanks for you answers or your help

Mike

Hi,
the public version of Xplico is for x86 CPU.
Some parts of Xplico code are writed in x86 assembler, then this code can't run in a ARM CPU, and then the compiler gives you an error.

It is not a bug.
Ciao.
