Post Xplico CLI - can't decode sample VOIP file
Hello!

Sorry this is probably a newbie question - I am just getting started and trying to decode some VOIP capture files using Xplico CLI. I downloaded the Virtualbox machine of Xplico 1.0.0 (but also tried this in 0.7.1, with the same problem).

I am trying to decode one of the sample files that comes with xplico, "sip_call_rtp_g711.pcap". I am using the default config file "xplico_cli.cfg" exactly as it comes (just commented out the fbwchat manipulator since this seemed to be causing some other error). The command line I am using is:

"xplico -m pcap -f sip_call_rtp_g711.pcap"

However I get no decoded MP3 or WAV files in the at xdecode folder all. I believe might be because of the "videosnarf crash" errors I see in the log (the log file is attached).

Any hints on what I am doing wrong?
Thank you in advance!

(by the way, in the GUI (Xplico XI) I can decode this same sample capture file without a problem, but need to be able to use the CLI)

Hi,
the problem is videosnarf, precisely where is located videosnarf. By default xplico search videosnaf in the same dir where is launched.
Then to fix your problem, you can try to copy videosnarf in the same dir where you are decoding the data.
Code:
cp /opt/xplico/videosnarf .
xplico -m pcap -f sip_call_rtp_g711.pcap

Ciao,
