Post web interface: "not found" or blank page
When accesing the Xplico's web interface you get this error:

Quote:
Not Found

The requested URL /users/index was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.17 (Ubuntu) Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 9876

is dued to not having the "mod rewrite" installed or enabled, solved with:

Quote:
xplico@ubuntu-VirtualBox:~$ sudo a2enmod rewrite
[sudo] password for xplico:
Enabling module rewrite.
Run '/etc/init.d/apache2 restart' to activate new configuration!
xplico@ubuntu-VirtualBox:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
* Restarting web server apache2 apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1 for ServerName

and if after that you get a bank page at http://127.0.1.1:9876/users/login , please do
Quote:
chmod -R 777 /opt/xplico

Post Re: web interface: "not found" or blank page
Hi

I'm having a similar but not identical problem. I'm currently getting a blank page for /users/index, which is given via a 302 redirect from /

I have checked that mod_rewrite is working which it is.

I have applied the 777 permissions

I'm running version 0.6.3.

Any help you can provide on solving the problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Impy

Have you run, as root, /opt/xplico/scripts/sqlite_demo.sh ?

I found that changing the value for the debug setting in /opt/xplico/xi/app/config/core.php from 0 -> 2 allowed to see the error to solve the problem. However once you think you have fixed the error you need to reset the debug value to 0, or the web interface will not work.

Post Re: web interface: "not found" or blank page
I have a similar "blank page" issue. I have a new install of xplico onto an existing Apache server running on Ubuntu 11.04. I am accessing this remotely from my workstation, rather than locally using 127.0.0.1. I appreciate any ideas or pointers for this.

Here is the entry from xplico_access.log when I pull up the empty page.
Code:
172.24.89.25 - - [30/Aug/2011:09:46:54 -0700] "GET /users/login HTTP/1.1" 200 350 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.18) Gecko/20110628 Ubuntu/10.10 (maverick) Firefox/3.6.18"

My (trimmed) virtual host config:
Code:
NameVirtualHost *:9876
<VirtualHost *:9876>
        ServerAdmin info@xplico.org
        DocumentRoot /opt/xplico/xi
        <Directory "/opt/xplico/xi">
                Options All
                AllowOverride All
                Order allow,deny
                allow from all
        </Directory>

And, finally, I tried the debug setting mentioned by Impy. Unfortunately, I see no problems with this (though I am not sure I can correctly read it)

Hi,
with the browser in server where Xplico is installed you are able to connect (in localhost) to the Xplico Interface (XI)?
If "yes" then from the others PC you must use the IP (of server where Xplico is installed) in the URL to connect with XI. If you do not use the IP the web page will be white (=> empty).

Ciao.

Gianluca,
That fixed my problem, thank you! I am using xplico to support a small team of incident responders, and we each upload various pcaps to a specific case and then review them. Before this, I had only used xplico in "standalone" mode on my BackTrack installation. Creating an instance that a small group of people can use for collaboration has created a few interesting hurdles.

Hi,

Im getting a blank page when I try to access XI with the external IP, when I access with the internal 192.168....:9876/users/index it works fine.

What can I be doing wrong?

thanks.

Hi,
maybe you're in front of a collateral effect of the HTTP-Proxy inside Xplico Interface (PHP code).
You can fix your problem in this way:
http://wiki.xplico.org/doku.php?id=faq# ... ip_address

Ciao.
