Post Xplico config file
Hi.
Please tell me which modules should be left in the config file (xplico_install_lite.cfg) that would only get ftp files?

Hi FeliX,
if you launch from shell:
Code:
./xplico -g

you can view the relationship about ftp.
Code:
------------------------------------------
------------- Protocol Graph -------------
------------------------------------------
 pcapf
   |
   |--->eth
   |     |
   |     |--->pppoe
   |     |     |
   |     |     `--->ppp

   |     |           |--->ip
   |     |           |     |
   |     |           |     |--->ipv6
   |     |           |     |     |
   |     |           |     |     |--->tcp
   |     |           |     |     |     |
   |     |           |     |     |     |--->http
   |     |           |     |     |     |     |

   |     |           |     `--->icmp
   |     |           |--->ipv6
   |     |           `--->llc
   |     |                 |
   |     |                 |--->eth
   |     |                 |--->ip
   |     |                 `--->ipv6
   |     |--->ip
   |     |--->ipv6
   |     |--->vlan
   |     |     |
   |     |     |--->ip
   |     |     |--->ipv6
   |     |     `--->arp
   |     `--->arp
   |--->ppp
   |--->ip
   |--->sll
   |     |
   |     |--->ip
   |     `--->ipv6
   |--->wlan
   |--->llc
   `--->radiotap
------------------------------------------
 pol
   |
   |--->eth
   |--->ppp
   |--->ip
   |--->sll
   |--->wlan
   |--->llc
   `--->radiotap

Then to use ftp you must load : ftp, tcp, ipv6, ip, ppp, pppoe, eth, llc, vlan, sll, pcapf and pol
But if your network/pcap uses only ethernet and ipv4 then: tcp, ip, eth, pcapf and pol (XI) or pcapf (CLI)
From 0.6.0 you can use XI configuration pages to select the modules (xplico_install_lite.cfg file).

Ciao.

Post Re: Xplico config file
Thank you very much, it's very useful information.
And another question, how i can run xplico (Xi) with my config file ?

I used the command
Code:
/opt/xplico/bin/dema -c my_config.cfg -d /opt/xplico -b sqlite > /dev/null
but nothing happened, he still uses xplico_install_lite.cfg

You can change the configuration file from XI with admin user:
user: admin
password: xplico
This is true only for 0.6.0 or higher. For old versions (NOT 0.6.0!!) you must stop xplico (kill dema) and you must change the file:
/opt/xplico/cfg/xplico_install_lite.cfg .

Ciao.
