Post How does the decoder/dessicator works ?
Hello,

I have a little question about how the decoder/dessicator works. Are the protocol identified only by port number or is it port independent ?

Regards,
RedVivi

I believe it is port independent, and for 2 reasons - 1. vaguely remember seeing that fact pointed out somewhere (someone or some documentation stating that), and 2. Xplico could arguably be considered bad for its job if it were port dependent. I'm not absolutely sure though, but sure enough to say yes, it is port independent.

Yes Xplico is port independent.
At present only telnet dissector is not independent to the port.
